TV On The Radio – Will Do

In anticipation of their new album Nine Types of Light, due out April 12, indie rock band TV On The Radio has released a single, called “Will Do.” Much to the delight of their fans, they debuted the song on the Seattle radio station 107.7 The End.

The song is pretty awesome, with a soulful beat and catchy riffs. I’m glad that they didn’t disappoint, as Nine Types of Light is going to be their first album since Dear Science (2008). Catch them on tour starting April 8, click here for tour dates

McFly - That's The Truth

 

The full-length new video for British boy band McFly's latest effort "That's The Truth" premieres exclusively on group's Super City website last Tuesday. Fresh from the huge success of their first two singles: the electropop single "Party Girl" and the more R&B/pop single "Shine A Light". The band announce their first release of 2011, new single "That's The Truth," as their next and third single to be taken from the band's fifth studio album, "Above the Noise."

Peter, Bjorn and John - Second Chance

The three-headed Swedish pop rock monster known as Peter Bjorn and John go the goofy rewind route with the video for their excellent "Second Chance" single, getting un-pelted with confetti, toilet paper and some goop. Part of me applauds them for not learning to perform the song backwards, because that's always so annoying when you hear that a band does that. Instead, it just turns out that the wails in the chorus line up even if the video is rewound.

Nadia Ali ; Starkillers ft Alex Kenji - Pressure

This English band isn´t famous yet, but they expect that 2011 will be their year. Q Magazine has already put this band into their list of `Hottest New Bands 2011´. I think this single is just a start of many good pop singles. It´s called `If I Were You´ and it will appear with the band´s previous 2 songs (Dead Famous and Did I) on their debut-album: Virtual Signs.

The amazing Colbie Caillat will return in 2011 with a new album (her third) entitled "All For You". The first musical offering from this new album will be "I Do", which has just leaked online! The single will for radio adds in the US on February 7th. 

 

It's cute, cheery and summery, but not Ms. Caillat's best. It's got a catchy chorus though, "i do i do i do i do" lol. Anyhow, I'm so ready for new Colbie Caillat music, bring on that CD! and welcome back! Her record label better not mess up this era like they did with "Breakthrough" in 2009. Paul Simon - The Afterlife

 The Afterlife comes from Paul Simon’s forthcoming 12th studio album So Beautiful Or So What.

That is the same collection that brought us the “It’s Gonna Rain” reminiscent opener “Getting Ready For Christmas Day.” The rollicking second track “The Afterlife” follows “Christmas Day” on the tracklist. It’s a more straightforward and sunny track. Vampire Weekend fans should enjoy.

Yes, yes... Laidback Luke drops 'Timebomb' for Ego, his latest and soon to be smash hit single featuring the massive voice of Jonathan Mendelsohn.

Luke has been making music since the mid-90's but it's the last four years that have seen him rising to the highs of international superstar DJ and producer status. Red Hot Chili Peppers: New album release in March.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will release there new album in March. Chad Smith, the drummer of the band, told that to Music Radar. They already recorded over 20 songs and there are still some to do. Their new album will be their first to feature new guitarist Josh Klinghoffe, who has replaced John Frusciante.

The White Stripes Broke Up!!

The band’s official website posted the announcement, saying:
“The reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any health issues as both Meg and Jack are feeling fine and in good health. It’s for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.”

It also pointed out that White’s Third Man Records will “continue to put out unreleased live and studio recordings,” but as far as making new material or appearing on stage together again, that seems to be over.
